Countdown to Camp by Mati & Jake

                                                                                                                                                                   Count down to camp!
Hello everybody, this is Jake and Mati from Eagles crew! As you may know, Year 6 is the conclusion of primary school therefore, over the course of this year, we will be informing you all about our intriguing countdown to camp.

Fundraising

Unfortunately, the bus to camp isn't going to be cheap in fact, it might over £1,100 which means we need to work hard to make plenty of money to get us to camp! Due to the fact we have a very small class, it means we need to work twice as hard than previous years. So far this year we have organised ...
- a car wash
- a book sale
- refreshments at parents evening

We are planning to do ...
- a teddy sale
- a meal for the parents
- a cake sale

 OUR BOOK SALE

YEAR SIX  MEAL

Our year six meal is when everyone has left school and we invite our parents to have a delicious meal that we make ourselves and buy the ingredients our-self. Each year we base the meal on different countries: for example France, Greece, Italy, England. But we are doing Mexican style this year. We will be serving Mexican food and we will be providing entertainment in-between courses: a dance, a quiz and perhaps some drama.

WHAT WE'VE RAISED SO FAR AND HOW WE RAISED IT!

So far this year, we have raised a massive £470 and only from three fundraisers. For our first one, we hosted a car wash and refreshments during parents evening. We only did two evenings but we managed to raise a whopping £215. For World Book Day, we hosted a book sale and managed to sale approximately 100 books and raised about £100.  Only recently, we held another car wash and refreshments raising over £150.
